The Dana Foundation, a leader in advancing neuroscience that benefits society, is now accepting applications for their Neuroscience & Society Professional Development Awards! This exciting opportunity offers up to $5,000 USD to support U.S.-based undergraduate, postbaccalaureate, graduate, and postdoctoral trainees looking to grow their careers at the intersection of neuroscience and society.
This award is designed to help trainees gain new skills, attend educational events, and participate in experiences that deepen their understanding of how neuroscience connects to ethics, public policy, and societal needs.
Funding can support:
Attending neuroscience and society conferences/workshops
Enrolling in neuroscience and society coursework
Training in innovative ways to communicate neuroscience
Previous awardees have used this funding for:
✔ Attending the International Neuroethics Society Annual Meeting
✔ Participating in the Human and Mammalian Brain Atlas Consortium
✔ Taking an online Neuroethical Considerations course
✔ Gaining experience in computer-generated art for neuroscience communication
